How to get to Hydra
Hydra is connected by high speed hydrofoils and catamarans from the port of Piraeus, plus daily island tour boats. Another way of reaching the island is travelling through the Peloponnese to Metochi or Ermioni, leaving your vehicle in the secure car park, and then take the 20 minute passenger ferry across to Hydra. Furthermore, water taxis are also available all day long.
The villages of Hydra
The main town consists of a crescent-shaped harbor, around which you will find a strand of restaurants, shops, markets, and galleries. Everything is in walking distance, so feel free to wander and discover all the hidden corners of the picturesque island.
There are also other small beautiful villages on the island which are Mandraki, Kamini, Vlychos, Episkopi and Molos.
